It's called a Condom People and it stops pregnancy and STDs

I am reading with growing hilarity the mess that McCain's running mate Sarah Palin's dysfunctional family is.

Teenage pregnancy is nothing new, it's a fact of life for so many families, ESPECIALLY when the only sex education these kids get is abstinence because that's the way God wants it.

Sex is only or procreation in a marriage right?

OH no wait a second if you are the daughter of the Republican nominee for Vice President it's OK for your 17 year old daughter to be off having unprotected sex with her high school boyfriend.

OMG people it's a Condom and it prevents pregnancy and STDS

If there was not a prime example that the abstinence sex ed programs do not work it is this.

But of course the right wing abstinence only people are just simply crowing that she made the right choice in not aborting the baby, which is such a distraction!

Let's get this in perspective, the political party which prides itself on it's high moral standards and no sex before marriage is embracing a family to potentially become their Vice President who seem to have no morals.

Let's hope this sinks the Mcain campaign entirely!

Oh and don't forget, it's ok to be a dyke - you can even bring up some kids too - but ONLY if you happen to be the CURRENT VP's daughter.

The rest of you degenerates can all go to hell.

Unfortunately, this is a double-edged sword. It's also great for the Republicans, because it shows that they're pro-life (rather than having it come out later that an abortion was had, thus severely damaging their campaign).

Given that the largest portion of those people voting Republican are the rednecks (who have their first child at 10, right?) and evangelicals (pro-life, mostly), I don't think there'll be too much damage there. It'll be more in the swing seats they'll have to worry.

I think most politicians (Republican, Democrat, etc) are hypocrites anyways. But it is not completely their fault. They say what people want to hear so they can have high approval ratings, but when they show infallibility, most people turn on them in seconds. I'm sure it's quite difficult to always try and be perfect in the public eye, but until we all accept that our political figures are human too - we shouldn't be surprised by their mistakes. I'm not for McCain/Palin but let's not forget Bill Clinton's indiscretions as well...and that's his own actions when he was the president in office.

Actually our public figures should be treated very differently.

If you choose to attain public office and you speak one thing you must adhere to that too.

If it turns out you have lied then you have to face the consequences.

Bill Clinton never said he was not a philanderer LOL

Palin / McCain however stand up for an outmoded view of the nuclear family which simply no longer exists and their own families show this
