Weekly Wrap up

Since it has been over a week and a bit since I last put an update ont he main page I have sat down and will write all about the chnages to the site and also the trials and tribulations of the last two weeks. Two weeks ago we wre burgled in the early hours on the morning by four men who took it upon themselves to break through reinforced steel bars at the front of our house. The neighbours rang the police twice, who then got lost on the way here (they even admitted as they got lost because the page in their street directory had been torn out - considering the one page makes up their entire beat it was inexcusable). The poice took twenty minutes to arrive while the four men broke through and into the house stealing both my and the boy's notebook computers. Unfortuntaley I last backed up about 6 weeks ago so I have lost an enormous amount of work and a lot of personal stuff that I was writing including some draft chapters of stories etc.

The long and the short of the breakin is we will move as soon as possible, but I find the police's stupidness ridiculous at the very least. We were not at home at the time, althought he neighbours thought we were and so they pleaded with the police to arrive even sooner. If they had arrived within ten minutes (the police station is less than 2 minutes away incidently) they would have caught the offenders before entering the house. Anyway, I am now totally scared of them coming again, and wake at the slightest sound during the nioght, but we will survive and get away from this street which seems to have a great deal of crime!

Site Changes

As the regular readers of superdrewby will ahve noticed the site has undergone a large amount of change int he last ten days. I have removed the advertising entirely and given the site a clean and fresh, more funky look which I hope everyone really likes! I am still working on a number of pages in p[articular the members profiles and members page will soon be changed as well to make it even easier to use. Also I am woking on a great deal of new and reevant content for the site, which I will be publishing progessively over the coming weeks. Some fo the highlights are:

I am slowly integrating a new way of supporting Superdrewby through purchasing books, videos and other stuff through Amazon. The old advertisiong was getting a great click through rate but I never got any monetary returns which makes me believe that the CJ.com advertising banner service is fraudulent and I will be following up on this as soon as I can!
