More on Cataloguing Files into iTunes
I really am a geek and I know it LOL
I am about half way through converting and then cataloguing all of our media including all the videos I have downloaded from my favorite porn sites like Corbin Fisher and Sean Cody (God I love hot muscley 'straight' boys).
But in so doing I had to trawl through gigabytes of porn that I have accumulated over the last couple of years.
I would traditionally download the files as soon as they came out and then store them somewhere, maybe scan through them and in most cases forget about them. So in the end I ended up with hundreds of Gigabytes of wasted space from all of those files.
The first step has been retionalising my porn collection, you know at first it sounds like fun, but then after a while it just gets plain boring and you end up deleting whole swathes of folders because you couldn't be bothered going through them.
I did find a few interesting things though, after converting the files to MP4 so iTunes and Apple TV could use them I had to work out how to catalogue them on the Apple TV so they would not be immediately apparent for friends browsing for 'regular' movies or music.
In the end I am cataloguing them as 'TV Shows' and I have a 'TV Show' for each studio.
Another issue was how I actually go through and manually add them as TV shows.
In the end I worked out the easiest way was to import them in batches of the 'studios' and then use the recently added playlist to bulk update the details.
You know I knew one day all those subjects on Information Science, Indexing, Cataloguing etc would come in handy LOL.
