Will Obama be Victorious
I think the GFC (Global Financial Crisis) has pretty much been put it the back of the media's collective thoughts this week as the American Election is finally near.
Personally I am amazed that it's already November, where the crap has this year gone?
But anyway, even with the polls all showing a landslide for Obama I am still sceptical of a decisive win.
One thing I will say is if Obama does win I am sure that there will be all sorts of legal challenges to any tenuous thing the Republicans can think of. Let's face it 2000 was a legal victory NOT a moral win by Bush.
I suppose like the rest of the world I will wait and see what happens on Wednesday Australian time as the votes start rolling in.
And I am curious if you are not an American who would you vote for and why?

I am a thirty something married gay boy living in Sydney, almost on top of the gay scene but not in it!
Why Sometimes blue?, because I love blue, but also I am sometimes blue :)

On the two-party preference scheme, I'd vote for Obama. I don't usually like voting for a major party, but given that it's not preferential voting in the US you're almost throwing your vote away if you vote for a minor party (such as my personal favourite on name only, the Boston Tea Party).
So, why Obama? I think he's proven to have more economic sense than McCain, he's got a better perception of social issues, and I think he'll do a lot of good for America. I think Biden was a boring choice for running mate, but he's safe (like Chaney was).
And I think that Obama will win it, not necessarily because he's the best candidate, but McCain has stuffed up his campaign so much (GFC, Palin, lamberblasting Obama and the robocalls, etc) that he's more likely to lose votes than Obama gain them. If that makes sense.
