Yesterday was a shite day!
Yesterday started off badly, on the way to work I witnessed an accident not more than five metres in front of me when a truck tried to overtake a car. The car ended up sideways squashed between two other cars and the truck.
At least it looked like no one was hurt so that was good.
Then once I was in the office I had the most vitriolic and down right childish email from a client. One of our clients who we still do a bit of work for found out we offer a total solution (re-branded) for their industry.
We built an eCommerce site for a store based on our Content Management Solution using our eCommerce Architecture, and then we did further in dependant development so that the we could actually make the software into a turn key solution.
Contractually we own the code entirely as it's based not just on our actual architecture but it's also written into our contracts. We have also spent the last year refining the concept into a cool product solution which we now sell as a branded product.
When they found out because Google now lists us in the top three search results for the solution (and we only launched last week) . I was threatened with all sorts of things and we were told in no uncertain terms that we were to take our company name off all of their websites.
I was expecting a reaction when the client found out but not the childishness we got.
I am also battling the builder of our apartment to fix defects in the apartment which again they are refusing to do, which just means more stress, lawyers and the like.
And to top it all off I was told that someone in our car park had their car broken into in our car park and had the buzzer to open the garage door stolen.
Just frigging great cause that means we have to get all the buzzers reprogrammed.
I hate stupid people and I have to say that this new tenant who left the buzzer in their car takes the cake.
Let's hope that today is better.

Now this is funny... Not what happened but the fact that it all exactly followed the rules! Essentially this boils down to "It never rains, it pours..." things like this never happen in isolation....
Not that having me giggle at it all helps... cause all that is pretty damn screwed up.
Just be happy knowing that dealing with this kind of stuff will keep you sharp and on the ball... ;-)
