Creation
As an incredibly fitting post for the last day of the year, I came across a blog post about a yacht crew witnessing the creation of a new island in the South Pacific.
Apparently a yacht came across a sea of pumice stone some 16km wide and saw a plume of steam in the distance.
On venturing closer to the steam plume they discovered it was the top of a volcano spewing lava into the ocean and thus creating an entirely new island!
It's not every day that you see such an amazing sight and apparently it has excited volcanoligists world wide!
So for the last day of 2006 a post about creation and our planet!
